The Gimblett Gravels reds did exceptionally well in 2010, benefiting from relatively low crop levels along with the long dry autumn period. We now have deeply coloured and intensely flavoured Merlot and Cabernets to blend with. A rich and enticing nose with black plum, black cherry and hints of sweet leather complexity. The palate is full and soft, bursting with ripe black and red fruit flavours. The aftertaste is smoo th and soft with lingering licorice note.
