Réné Rostaing is known the world over as the magician of Côte Rôtie. With the white wine, Réné aspires to marry local colour and warmth to the elegant style for which he is famous. Domaine Puech Chaud Blanc is a happy alliance of the indigenous Grenache Blanc, a little of the fashionable Italian grape Vermentino (known locally as Rolle) and Roussane. While respecting regional typicity, a few touches of our northern techniques help to add further elegance and above all a faithful expression of the terroir. Renee Rostaing’s 2005 Coteaux du Languedoc is alluringly-scented with honeydew melon, lime, and mineral notes. Juicy, luscious, and impeccably balanced, it is rich yet refreshing, displaying subtle saline, herbal and floral notes right through to a long, polished finish. An aromatic, stylish and elegant wine. Wonderful with a light lunch.
